Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the central figure of our faith experience.
Who is Jesus to you? People today may give a variety of answers. Some say He was a great philosopher, some say a great teacher, some say a prophet. Others may say He was a great healer or the world’s greatest moral leader.
Jesus himself asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” They answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter was right when he answered, “You are the Christ” (Mark 8:29).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to save us from our sins. He’s my Savior and the Lord of my life.
“Who is Jesus to you?” is the most important question you’ll ever answer—where you will spend eternity depends on it. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? The Bible says that one day every knee will bow and confess that He is Lord—so get ready.
The following are personal testimonials from those within our congregation as they answer the question "Who Is Jesus?"
"Jesus is my savior, my protector, my teacher and my role model." - Cindy Morgan
"Jesus is my Lord and Savior and soon coming King!! He is also my PROVIDER! About forty years ago, Larry and I and our son were on the way to Larry's home in Hazlehurst, GA. I remember seeing a brackish pond along the highway and asked if the radiator went bad could that water be used. Of course not as it was not clean water. Not long after that comment, we left the main road and were on a country road when the car over heated!! I immediately wished I had not asked the question! There we were in the middle of nowhere- talk about dismay and alarm! Larry pulled off the road near a farm and went for help. Our son's comment was something like this - We prayed, so why did God allow this to happen? Later we talked to him about Jesus being our provider. Yes, a bad thing had happened, but the farmer was home and provided a hose to cool down the engine. Not only that, the farmer knew Larry's brother and Larry was able to call him and tell him the exact part that was needed. Not only that, but Larry's brother worked for the car dealer and could get the part. Not only that, but Larry's brother had the keys to get into the shop as this was late at night. Did Jesus provide? Oh yes He did - the right place to have car problems, the right person to be able to get the part. What did it cost us? - concern, anxiety, time and a little money. But what did we learn? When things are bad, we need to look for the good things that are going on as Jesus provides our needs." - Joan Kerns
"Born of a Virgin named Mary and a carpenter named Joseph. Jesus was God in the human form or "flesh". Nothing is recorded of his life after his birth, until he began teaching in the temple, and then not again until three years before his death at age 33. At time time many miraculous events took place. He turned water into wine, healed the sick, caused blind eyes to see, raised the dead and cast out demons. Jesus was crucified on a cross for our sins. He suffered for our transgressions and to have everlasting life. He is my creator, healer, redeemer, provider, my everything. He gave us so many things including free will - do you choose him this day?" - Debbie Roberts
"He is my Lord and He is my Savior! He redeemed my soul, He saved my life and blessed me, even before I knew Him. He healed me completely, and He blesses me every day of my life! I can only, worship Him and be grateful for His grace and His mercy!" - Mishi Pistorius
"He is the One that Loves me beyond understanding without measure. He is my Lord and Saviour who cleansed my soul from ALL sin and completely forgave my past . He changed my heart and made everything new in every aspect of my life . He is real and I feel His touch presence, mercy and grace in my life . His love and faithfulness touches me deeply, amazes me, enthuses me and fires up my spirit to worship and praise Him when and where-ever I can. Nothing is better to me than my first thing -in the- morning meetings with Him. His Word and Spirit lives in my heart. He is the gentle voice within my heart and soul that speaks to me and guides my daily path . He is my Light and true Peace during good or bad and highs or lows. I love Him dearly with all my heart and am fully committed to serve Him until my last breath . I thank Him Praise Him for His daily grace, forgiveness and every blessing. I cannot live without Him in my control of my life. In short He is my Shepherd and became Psalm 23 to me." - Renier Pistorius
